In 2024, SESCircuitSimulator introduced the FCDIST mode, allowing users to model and analyze
FCDIST projects directly within the simulator. The FCDIST mode now introduces three major
capabilities previously unavailable in the legacy SESFcdist application: terminals without a
metallic return path, blocks without mutual coupling, and blocks without towers. Additionally,
FCDIST results can now be visualized in the 3D Viewer, enhancing user experience and
understanding of the system.
The 3D Viewer in SESCircuitSimulator has also seen significant upgrades. Users can now filter
not only terminals and buses but also sections, accessible through the Display settings via the gear
icon. Moreover, the simulator now supports the loading and visualization of GCS input files. While
these files remain read-only, users can fully explore their circuit layouts in 3D. With this
enhancement, SESCircuitSimulator can be launched directly from Right-of-Way (ROWCAD) to
validate GCS circuits.
